AG caught up with mandolinist, guitarist, and songwriter Sierra Hull on a recent stop in San Francisco. Backstage at The Independent, Hull and guitarist Shaun Richardson delivered a rousing performance of “Spitfire” and “Truth Be Told.” With a transcription of “Spitfire” in the new November/December 2025 issue of Acoustic Guitar, Hull also shared the story behind the song and the techniques she uses to play it.
