Knives of Alaska Bush Camp: Capable D2 Woods Blade
This is a broad bladed and yet lightweight camp knife. Knives of Alaska knows how to do D2 steel. Price is VERY reasonable for this US produced blade. It was tough and held its edge well in testing. Not an FFG blade and typical of a KOA grind, this fixed blade has a strong spine and is sharp out of box with a perfect relief edge. From food preparation, to light shelter/trap making, to skinning, to kindling prep, the Bush Camp performed very well. Subtract a point for lack of jimping where it's really needed. Now worries, I did my own (shown). Nevertheless, when paired with the Red Hill Kydex sheath I had made for the knife, it's a winner and I place it high on blades I'd backpack with. //////////////////////////Nutnfancy Likability Scale: 9 out of 10
