He was born as Virender Singh Randhawa on 6 May 1964 in Mumbai, Maharastra, India. He is the son of Late indian actor and former wrestler, Dara Singh. His mother late Surjit Kaur Randhawa was a home maker. Film producer- Amrik Singh Randhawa is his brother. He has three sisters, Deepa Singh, Kamal Singh, and Loveleen Singh. Actor Parduman Singh is his half-brother. In 1996, Vindu Dara got married to actress, Farah Naaz. They have a son, Fateh Randhawa. Vindu and Farah got divorced in 2002. In 2005, Vindu Dara Singh got married to Russian model and entrepreneur- Dina Umarova. The couple has a daughter, Amelia Randhawa. Late Indian Professional wrestler and actor Sardar Singh Randhawa was his uncle.Actor Shaad Randhawa is his cousin.
