La CÁBALA: el SECRETO de BORGES (Siete Noches VI)

Between June 1 and August 3, 1977, Jorge Luis Borges gave a series of lectures at the Teatro Coliseo in Buenos Aires, which dealt successively with The Divine Comedy, The Nightmare, The Thousand and One Nights, Buddhism, The Poetry, The Kabbalah and Blindness, with which he closed the cycle. Defective recordings were made of them to reproduce them in special supplements of a Buenos Aires newspaper. In 1980, together with Borges himself, Roy Bartholomew was in charge of reviewing and correcting them, in order to shape the book 'Seven Nights'. In this report we comment on the sixth of the conferences, including the reproduction of the talk in Borges' voice and the text that appeared in the aforementioned book published by the FCE, pointing out the important discrepancies that exist between the conference itself and its translation into the book. .
