Co-leader on Manurewa Marae, 20 years of Te Pāti Māori | Q+A 2024
Te Pāti Māori co-leader Debbie Ngarewa-Packer reflects on 20 years since the party's formation, what it has been able to achieve, its policies, and what its future could look like. The Public Service Commission is investigating allegations Census data gathered at Manurewa Marae was misused in the lead up to the 2023 election. The parties involved have strongly denied the claims. The accusations, though, have highlighted the close relationships between Te Pāti Māori members, Whānau Ora commissioners, and Whānau Ora providers. Q+A asks Ngarewa-Packer about the claims and the perceptions the relationships could create. Join Jack Tame and the Q+A team and find the answers to the questions that matter.
