Campervan Trip: Nobody Warned Me.

This week I take our campervan, The Griffer, to the Yorkshire Dales for what I thought would be another straightforward one-night adventure… After parking up at The Charles Bathurst Inn, I set off on a hike to explore the fascinating ruins of Windegg Lead Mine in Arkengarthdale. What begins as a peaceful hike through (and up) one of Yorkshire’s most beautiful landscapes soon takes an unexpected turn. A relentless attack from horseflies makes the climb even harder, while a lone, eerie scarecrow watches silently over the hillside. Even the sheep seem to be keeping an eye on me from the clifftops as I continue exploring this remarkable corner of the Yorkshire Dales.
