Arm Day with Jodi KABOAM
Here is a look into one of my arm day sessions. As you'll notice, I typically do all supersets, circuits and dropsets for arm day, rather than 1 exercise at a time. For growth, I personally find I need to fill the muscle with as much blood as possible and focus more on the pump than the weight used. I also do believe in cheat reps, but do them in specific ways. I'll always begin every exercise with strict form until hitting failure, then rather than stopping or drop-setting, I will begin to cheat slightly to force out a few extra reps. As long as you do strict reps first, focus on form first and foremost, I find nothing wrong with some cheat reps to finish the set. Push past the burn, and train past the pain... Safely and effectively. This clip shows just bits and pieces of my session, but here's an example of my full session: 2-3 sets of Db hammer grip curls, superset cable tricep push-downs: warm-up sets. 4 sets on Incline Db curls - dropset 4 sets of Db skull crushers, superset bench dips 6 sets of lying cable curls, superset seated overhead cable extensions 3 sets of tricep circuit: Bodyweight skull crushers, close grip push-ups and plank push-ups 3 sets of EZ bar curls, superset Db alternating curls 2-3 sets of bodyweight dips to failure to finish my workout.
