Greenland - So Many Parks 178 | グリーンランド

Greenland was the southernmost park on our Japan trip, and the only park on Kyūshū that our whole group visited. Despite having one of the largest coaster collections in all of Japan, they don't really have any standout rides. As such, I didn't have many expectations for it. What we found was a huge, beautiful park with greenery everywhere and a huge collection of rides. There is absolutely something here for everyone; roller coasters, flat rides, dark rides, water rides, two chairlifts, a giant wheel, an ice house, the list goes on. The most noteworthy coasters are Gao, a huge weird jet coaster that climbs the back of a stegosaurus; and Milky Way, a Togo racing/dueling coaster with sit down and stand up trains. Overall, this park was an incredible surprise, and a worthwhile stop before the long trip back north. Slight correction, before opening at Greenland in 1991, Milky Way opened as Fujin Raijin at the International Flower and Green Exposition in 1990.
