I arrived in Suzhou, worried about the effects of the typhoon, but was greeted by warm people and an abundance of delicious food. After enjoying the beautiful water town to the fullest, I headed to Shanghai by train. The thing that really got me this time was the words of the conductor as I boarded the train to Shanghai. Not only was his voice lovely, but it also evoked the atmosphere of traveling in China, didn't it? And just to add a bit more information, the hotel rate in Shanghai included breakfast. Breakfast was not included as in Beijing and Suzhou.
