Ram Tester Mid 2025 Version

This shows my RAM Tester. A fest tester for many popular RAM Chips of the 80'ies and early 90'ies for machines like Commodore C64/128 or Amiga. Also for some Atari, Spektrum, BBC Micro, and many more. The tester can check most RAM types in just a few seconds. It supports 8-bit and 16-bit chips as well as 20-pin ZIP sockets. Output is shown either on an OLED display or with simple LED signals. Tests include short circuits to ground or power, address line and decoder faults, stuck memory cells, crosstalk, retention time and random data patterns. Typical test times range from 2 to 4 seconds for smaller RAMs like 4116 or 4416, and 6 to 16 seconds for larger types such as 41256 or 514400. The hardware and firmware are open source. Insert the RAM, connect a USB power supply, and read the result.
