Essen → Velbert Start in the Essen city forest Southwards across the Ruhr Heights Connection to old SGV trails such as the Ruhr Heights Trail (XR) Continue via Heidhausen and Langenberg to Velbert 2. Velbert → Wuppertal-Elberfeld Through forests and hills between Velbert and Neviges Descent into the Wupper Valley Junction with the Wuppertal-Elberfeld area 3. Wuppertal-Elberfeld → Solingen-Burg Continue along the Wupper River Via Cronenberg and Sudberg Towards Müngsten and Burg Castle 4. Solingen-Burg → Hilgen → Bechen Through the Bergisches Land hills Via the Sengbach Dam Continue to Hilgen Via the Dhünn Dam To Bechen 5. Bechen → Biesfeld → Ehreshofen Castle Through forests and small valleys Via Biesfeld To the Agger River 6.
