A place for rest and relaxation however there are some common design mistakes that can really hinder the functionality and Aesthetics of this spacious place and today we're going to be discussing the top design mistakes that you should really avoid when you're designing your lovely bedroom. let's dive in. The number one design mistake that I see ,Poor color scheme. we're gonna start from the Top mistakes going downwards because when you get this one wrong everything else wouldn't matter. so how do you solve this stick to the neutral colour palettes. Neutral colour Palettes by the way it doesn't have to be white. Stick to soft calming colours soft calming colours are ideal to make your mind relaxed and distress.Your bedroom is a space you go to, to distress not to re-energize and I know it can really be confusing especially if you identify with the African culture. I mean African colour palettes can be sometimes very confusing as Africa celebrates Colour. I mean if you've been to Africa it's all vibrant from West Africa to the colourful markets of Morocco, Tunisia .Africa does celebrate colour but when you're designing your bedroom this is where you need to be really really careful. Like this person who used sharp yellow.Yellow is an African colour too that really signifies the African Savanna sun. it's an African colour. so it can be confusing for someone but this is a colour that you shouldn't use in your bedroom especially when you want to list your space and why is it like that because such colours which are sharp like the sharp yellow these are colours which are stimulating because in the colour of psychology humans we do react to colour. You'll see like the blues are used mostly in banks because they signify trustworthiness .Such colours like these ones should be used in places where people are active. You can use it in your living room if it's your favourite colour you can just use it in the accents .Red for instance is your favourite colour, use it sparingly in accents instead of painting your whole space into red and I know this also comes to personal preference and I've seen designers like Robinson use it. I mean red does present Love ,Power but also it represents danger meaning it can overwhelm.Yes it also comes to a personal preference if you love your bedroom design in such a way stick to that but if I'm talking in alignment with going into commercial design.Like you're listing your place for people to come and stay in your place honestly you should stick to these principles of design. The next design mistake: Wrong Bed Placement; this is when you place your bed that blocks entryways, that it blocks the nature from coming indoors. You're supposed to place your bed in such a way that when someone is coming into your room you can see them. I see this mistake a lot especially like this person here. Especially when you want to list your space for commercial use .When you place your bed on the window it blocks the view.
