Lapplandsleden. Hemavan till Gränssjö. Del 1

Join us – Magnus, my wife, and our faithful four-legged dog Ira – on an unforgettable hike along the Lapland Trail, one of Sweden's most spectacular mountain trails. Over several days, we will travel through 190 kilometers of untouched nature. The Lapland Trail is a relatively new mountain trail, completed in 2021, that connects older trails with new segments and offers a cohesive hike through the Lapland mountains. It goes through alpine tundra, mountain birch forests, marshlands, and across watercourses – often above the tree line. The trail is marked with orange for summer hiking and red wooden crosses for the winter trail. We have divided the trail into several stages, using a tent as our base and sometimes staying in cabins. Water is sourced from mountain streams, and the food is mostly freeze-dried – but the views at many occasions are completely magical. We also get to experience a heatwave like no other in the mountains, and the challenge will be to manage the heat for all three of us. About the film The film is a documentation of our hike – with the sounds of nature, views, and the feeling of being far away from everyday life. It is created for you who loves outdoor life, seeks inspiration, or just wants to accompany an adventure through Sweden's wildest landscapes.
