To celebrate Geumjeongsan, beloved by Busan citizens, becoming a national park, I hiked the Beomeosa Trail, the most popular route. There are hiking courses that even beginners can easily climb, and gentler ones that won't strain your knees on the way down! The stunning scenery from the north gate of Geumjeongsanseong Fortress and the summit made me nod in agreement, thinking, "This mountain deserves to be a national park because of its beautiful scenery." But is it because it's been designated a national park? Unfortunately, the rock where you can see the ever-flowing Geumsaem spring has been removed, and a "No Trespassing" sign has been posted, making it impossible to climb any further.
