The Three Enemigos (Ser, Estar, Ir)
In this lesson, I present "ser", "estar" and "ir" together. Very few books present "ser" and "estar" together. I don't know why. Probably because the people who make those books have no idea how our Gringo minds work. But "ser" and "estar" are famously connected--they both mean "to be". That's why I consider it a sin that they aren't presented together. But when I started learning Spanish myself, I quickly realized there was also a strong connection between "ser" and "ir". For example, in the past tense, "ser" and "ir" are conjugated exactly the same. "I was" is "fui". "I went" is "fui". See what I mean? See how that would be confusing? So I immediately dubbed these three words the three enemigos. But later on, I realized, they were actually kind of Spanish Angels too. By learning to conjugate "estar" and "ir" in the present tense, you can talk in the present and the future CORRECTLY without any other verb. I won't get into the details here, this video covers the conjugations, then in future videos (real soon, I promise) I'll show you the tricks I discovered that'll enable you to speak in the present and future with any verb, correctly. For now, do what I tell you to do in this video. Learn the present tense conjugations of "ser", "estar" and "ir". It will probably take you 15-30 minutes. Once you can do "ir" or "estar", you can do the other. They conjugate the same. Suerte. That means "luck". Resources mentioned in this video: https://spanishdude.com/quickies/thre...
