Roaring Camp and Big Trees Narrow Gauge Railroad 26/08/2015

A fabulous line through the redwood forests, just inland from Santa Cruz. This was the first time I've seen a Shay in steam and I wasn't disappointed; they are fascinating to watch and have a distinctive 'rotary' sound. It was difficult to film with the harsh contrast between the very bright sunlight and the deep shade, but I hope that the video gives a flavour of this most enjoyable trip.
