Gorky School No. 1 in Krasnodon, helped the front along with her classmates. During the city's occupation in October 1942, she joined the underground organization "Young Guard." She was a member of Sergei Tyulenin's group. While underground, she joined the Komsomol. She maintained contact between underground groups in the villages of Krasnodon and Pervomaika and the Young Guard headquarters. When the arrests began, she attempted to cross the front lines, but was unsuccessful. Before the arrival of Soviet troops, she hid with relatives in Voroshilovgrad. After the liberation of Krasnodon, she continued her studies: she passed her high school exams as an external student and, in August 1943, was admitted to the Moscow Institute of Foreign Languages. After graduating, she worked as a translator and assistant for Spanish and English in the Bureau of Foreign Literature at the Military Technical Publishing House. In 1963, she was sent to Cuba, where she worked as an editor of technical literature in Spanish. In 1971, she was sent to Poland, where she continued her service in the Soviet Army. She was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War, 1st Class, the Order of the Red Star, the Medal "Partisan of the Patriotic War," 1st Class, and others.
