pp. 279-283 العاشر عن امير المؤمنين عليه السلام: إذا أراد احدكم النوم فليضع يده اليمنى تحت خده الايمن وليقل: «بسم الله وضعت جنبى لله على ملة ابراهيم ودين محمد وولاية من افترض الله طاعته ما شاء الله كان وما لم يشألم يكن» فمن قال: ذلك عند منامه حفظ من اللص المغير والهدم وتستغفر له الملائكة. The tenth narration — from Amīr al‑Mu’minīn (peace be upon him): “When one of you intends to sleep, let him place his right hand under his right cheek and say: ‘In the Name of God. I lay my side down for God, upon the tradition of Abraham, the religion of Muhammad, and the guardianship of the one whose obedience God has made obligatory. Whatever God wills happens, and whatever He does not will does not happen.’ Whoever says this when going to sleep will be protected from the attacking thief and from collapse [of the wall], and the angels will seek forgiveness for him.”
