লেখক এডগার অ্যালেন পো তাঁর Eleonora শীর্ষক ছোটগল্পের শুরুতে লিখেছিলেন “They who dream by day are cognizant of many things which escape those who dream only by night.” গল্পে ভিন্ন আঙ্গিকে লেখা হলেও, বাক্যটি সার্বিকভাবে শিল্পচর্চার জগতেও প্রযোজ্য। অর্থাৎ, শিল্প নির্মাণের ক্ষেত্রে অপরিহার্য হয়ে ওঠে স্বপ্ন দেখার অভ্যেস, কল্পনার প্রসার, আর অদম্য ইচ্ছাশক্তি; উৎকৃষ্ট উপকরণ, মূলধন, বা পেশাদারিত্ব সেখানে প্রধান নয়। এই বিশ্বাস নিয়েই গত কয়েকমাসের অক্লান্ত চেষ্টায় আমরা একদল সিনেমাপ্রেমী মিলে বানিয়েছি একটি স্বল্পদৈর্ঘ্যের চলচ্চিত্র। শিল্পের প্রতি ভালোবাসা, শেখার আগ্রহ, আর নতুন কিছু সৃষ্টির একরাশ আকাঙ্ক্ষা নিয়েই আমাদের এই কাজ। গল্পের খাতিরে আমরা সেই পো-এরই শরণাপন্ন হয়েছি। তাঁর কালজয়ী ছোটগল্প The Tell-Tale Heart -কে নতুনভাবে রূপায়িত করবার চেষ্টা করেছি। যদিও আমাদেরই কিছু খামতির জন্য গল্পের চরিত্রগত ও গঠনগত কিছু পরিবর্তন করার ধৃষ্টতা করতে হয়েছে। আজ রইল কাজটির প্রথম ঝলক। সম্পূর্ণ সিনেমাটি মুক্তি পাবে শীঘ্রই। আশা করি, আপনাদের পাশে পাবো, তার সাথে প্রশংসা, মতামত, সমালোচনা সবকিছুর জন্যই আমরা মুখিয়ে থাকব। At the beginning of his short story "Eleonora", Edgar Allan Poe wrote, "They who dream by day are cognizant of many things which escape those who dream only by night." While the context within the story differs, this sentiment holds true for the realm of artistic creation as well. In the process of making art, the habit of dreaming, the expansion of imagination, and indomitable willpower become essential; superior materials, capital, or professional expertise are not the primary factors. Driven by this belief and months of tireless effort, a group of us—united by our love for cinema—have created a short film. This project is born of our passion for art, our eagerness to learn, and a deep-seated desire to create something new. For the narrative, we turned to Poe himself, attempting to reimagine his timeless short story, "The Tell-Tale Heart". However, due to our own limitations, we took the liberty of making certain changes to the story's characterization and structure. Today, we present a first glimpse of the project.
