In December 2023, Nicola, a young man from Agordo, in the province of Belluno, contacted us with a request to create a documentary covering various topics: depopulation, autonomy, the Ladin language, the controversial bobsleigh track for the 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics, and the Luxottica manufacturing company. Together, these seemingly disparate elements paint a discouraging picture, not only for the province of Belluno but for Italy as a whole.
