This high-end model, priced at approximately ¥80,000, features eye-catching Damascus FP. If you're new to this manufacturer, you might be in for a sound experience that will burn your brain, your tastes, and twist your sexual preferences. Appearance & Fit • Lighter than it looks. • The FP processing and overall texture are truly high-end. • Thicker than previous Yanyin models, but not uncomfortable to wear. • The shorter nozzle makes it suitable for those who don't like pressure deep in the ear. Included Cable • Solid black finish with a smooth, slippery surface that reduces touch noise. • Replaceable plugs, with a stronger cable than previous models. • Even without any modifications, there is no sense of limitation in spatial expression, high frequencies, or low frequencies. Appearance Summary • Though it has a metal shell, it is not as heavy as it looks and does not feel unnatural. • The texture is very high quality, and the cables have been improved. • However, due to its thickness, it may take some getting used to. Specifications • 6BA + 2 planar driver configuration. • The planar drivers are microplanar, similar in shape to BA drivers. • Similar to full BA drivers, but with less of a metallic high-frequency nuance. • Baker uses aluminum shells to achieve a more solid sound. Sound Quality Evaluation Bass • Despite being a BA configuration, it has depth and is well-matched with the transparent high frequencies. • The low frequencies are not as aggressive as those of Carmen, but the bass and sub-bass are strong. • Tight, ideal cool BA bass that does not interfere with other frequencies. • It has a similar sub-bass reproduction to the Carmen, which I rated 6 stars for. Midrange • A clear, hard-edged sound. • A crisp, solid sound without leaning too much toward metallic or artificial tones. • A good match for female vocals in general, and appealing to those who prefer clear sound. High Tones • A metallic, solid sound that comes from the shell, not from the BA. • Less piercing, combining presence and ease of listening. Spatial Expression • Natural, unrestricted expansion. • There's no unnatural, forced expansion, and even wide sound sources are reproduced with ease. • There's a strong sense of openness toward the ceiling, making it feel more like a studio or outdoor space with no echoes than a hall. Overall Review Monstrous monitor-like resolution, natural spatial expression, and strong, dry bass. One of my ideal soundscapes. Compared to the Carmen, this model has more high-frequency detail, is balanced, and is "relatively" more affordable. Yanyin is expensive, but its lineup of earphones is so powerful they'll change your tastes. While I haven't tried the higher-end models, I can proudly recommend all of the Yanyin headphones I own.
