Growing up as a black female is hard, but growing up as a dark skin black female is even more complicated. I wanna talk about it! Let me tell you, if you feel like nobody understands your experience... youre not alone. Today is simply a conversation about the black experience, or more specifically... the dark skin black experience. Today i uncover topics like how its like to grow up as a black girl, feeling like a joke all the time; Becoming the "angry black woman"; Being bullied and teachers turning a blind eye; and learning to love all the things that you were taught were your flaws. I'm now choosing to re-write what it means to be a feminine black woman in a society that has forced me to adopt a lot of masculine energy.
