Milonga del Angel - piano solo advanced arrangement - Hakon Skogstad

Based on the original quintet version of Milonga del Angel. Played and arranged by Håkon Skogstad. "Milonga del Angel is one of the most beautiful compositions of Astor Piazzolla, but the piano solo arrangement that is usually played is a shortened, reduced and very simplified one - which is all fine, but I feel it could do the original composition more justice... Having performed the original myself extensively as a classical pianist trained in the tango tradition in different line-ups, I felt it was time to make a more advanced arrangement that is hopefully worthy of the original (recorded by Piazzolla´s quintet). Having studied the piece with Piazzolla´s pianist Pablo Ziegler in New York back in 2011 also greatly inspired my efforts." (Håkon Skogstad).
