Road to Glory Has a BIG Problem in College Football 27

College Football 27 Road to Glory has a big problem, and in this video I’m talking about why paid progression could be a bad sign for the future of RTG. Road to Glory is supposed to be about creating your player, earning your upgrades, building your career, and improving naturally as you play. But with College Football Points being connected to Road to Glory upgrades, along with Road to Glory Skill Points being included in certain editions and memberships, this starts to feel like a road we’ve already seen before with NBA 2K MyCareer. In this video, I talk about why paid upgrades in an offline career mode don’t make sense, how this could lead to worse progression over time, why Road to Glory should not turn into another VC-style grind, and why EA needs to be careful with how far they take microtransactions in sports games.
