Why is everyone OBSESSED with HP5? ... a film stock review

With so many possible film options available for black and white, HP5 somehow holds the title of the most popular film stocks made today. I have no stats but it seems like it's probably the best selling film of all. Ilford has definitely done something right here, to capture the hearts and minds of so many film photographers. For both 35mm and medium format, this film seems to always see a great choice.
