Otto von Guericke

Otto von Guericke was searching for "nothingness." After several experiments, he discovered "air pressure." Even 16 horses couldn't pull apart two deflated hemispheres. We've recreated this historic experiment. Air pressure changes when the weather changes. This allowed Otto von Guericke to make the first prediction. You can find the Otto von Guericke story, along with other great stories, on DVD in the official Library of Non-Fiction Stories shop: http://www.bibliothek-der-sachgeschic... The Library of Non-Fiction Stories is for the children of yesterday—that is, the adults of today—their children, the adults of tomorrow, and perhaps even for the children of today's children. On the DVDs in this series, Armin Maiwald presents all the original educational stories produced by his film production company for "Die Sendung mit der Maus" (The Show with the Mouse) over the past 40 years, which were broadcast by Westdeutscher Rundfunk (WDR) on Sunday mornings. This channel offers a selection of the many stories filmed over the years. New episodes are constantly being compiled from a virtually inexhaustible and ever-growing archive. All the films are arranged alphabetically, almost like in a library. All episodes are now available on DVD. You can collect them, give them as gifts, reminisce, and smile: https://www.bibliothek-der-sachgeschi...
