Stabicraft Features In Action

Stabicraft are built tough with safety and endurance at it's core, making them perfect for Australian conditions. Known for 6 key features including; 1. Positive Buoyancy - Positive buoyancy is a unique water tight and individually sealed air chamber that wraps around our hull, forming a ‘life ring’. This gives Stabicraft boats positive buoyancy, meaning the entire boat can be filled with water and stay level and afloat. The life ring and positive buoyancy provide a stable, reliable and safe platform made from durable aluminum for maximum confidence on the water. 2. Closed Cell Baffling - Often referred to as foam-filled pontoons, Closed Cell Baffling is when polyurethane is injected, via a computer numerical control (CNC), into the airtight chambers that make up the pontoon, creating a whisper-ride effect. In the unlikely event, a chamber in your life ring is compromised, the polyurethane cell will also hold the same buoyancy to keep you afloat – an added layer of protection to get your crew home safely. 3. High Internal Freeboard - A boat with high gunnel height places you deeper inside the hull. That extra height between you and the water creates a physical and mental barrier, making you feel more secure, more protected, and more confident at sea. Stabicraft’s high gunnel height helps to prevent water from washing onto the deck, allows for greater roll angle before water can come over the side, and keeps you safer in rough or unpredictable conditions. 4. Arrow Pontoons - The ‘pontoons’ on a Stabicraft are chambers built into the aluminium life ring that surrounds the boat. Our unique Arrow Pontoons are a fourth-generation evolution of the original chambered aluminium hull design introduced in 1987. Each chamber features raked-back welds and a reduced chine at the shoulder, the point where the water flows off the hull. This refined, sleek profile delivers handling that feels like ‘driving on rails’, while the chamber's finer entry offers a softer, more controlled approach through waves. 5. Wing Style Coamings - The Wing Style Coamings refer to Stabicraft’s feature-packed gunwales. A Wing Style Coaming is a protruding edge or ‘wing shape’ that deflects water spray and widens gunnels for extra usable space The protruding wing style coamings provide greater internal storage space and a generous width on top, useful for casual seating, somewhere to park yourself while accessing the water or even a steady place to stand when at rest. 6. Game Chaser Transom - The Game Chaser Transom has been designed and built in a V-Shape when viewed from above. This design means that when a Stabicraft boat reverses, water flows around the transom rather than being pushed directly outwards. This increases the boat's control, especially useful around wharfs, jetties or chasing game fish where precision and manoeuvrability is key.
