Aang vs Ozai but they use their words

I feel like the fact Aang was so fixated on not killing Ozai kind of took away all the drama of if he could beat him. Aang beating him was such a foregone conclusion, Aang was just worried about what would happen after he beat him. As a side bar, if you think about it, General Fong was like 99% in the right. Aang could have used the Avatar State to beat Ozai, all Aang needed to do to control it was just to kind of think a little bit. I guess Ozai could have got a lucky lightning shot in though. Plus, Aang may not have slept walked onto the Lion Turtle, so he could have another death on his conscience.
