Welcome to the first part of our review of the Mare Blue Hotel in Koutsounari, Crete, Greece! This hotel, previously known as Sunshine Crete Beach and Village, and also as Sunshine Kreta Club Kalimera, is situated in the picturesque village of Koutsounari. It's surrounded by the Sitia Mountains on one side and the South Cretan Sea on the other. Koutsounari is a quiet settlement not far from Ierapetra (8 km) and Agios Nikolaos (43 km). In this part, we'll show you the hotel grounds and its immediate surroundings. From the hotel, you can take an approximately one-hour walk into the mountains and reach the Milonas Waterfall.
