Day Seven - I Left The Wild Atlantic Way... And Found This | Wild Atlantic Way Motorcycle Trip

Day Seven of my Wild Atlantic Way adventure started at Coral Strand and finished at the Cliffs of Moher, but the highlight of the day for me came somewhere in between. After a recommendation from my host Michael at Lig do Scíth, I left the official Wild Atlantic Way route and followed a quiet road between Derroe and Oughterard. What I found was exactly the sort of riding I love. Empty roads, beautiful scenery and moments where it felt like the only signs of civilisation were the tarmac beneath the wheels and the motorcycle carrying me along it. The route eventually brought me back to the Wild Atlantic Way, taking in Rinville Park, Flaggy Shore, Ballyvaughan Pier, Doolin Pier and finally the Cliffs of Moher. Sometimes the places you remember most aren't the famous landmarks. They're the roads you never planned to take.
