Surface Laptop 4 review (15-inch): A bigger, better ultraportable

While there are plenty of models from Dell, Asus, and HP that are flashier or more inventive, the Surface Laptop remains a solid performing, well-made device. With the option of either AMD Ryzen 4000-series chips, or new 11th gen Intel CPUs, it's a decent performer, and is paired with a great keyboard and screen. The XPS 13 and 15 are the closest competition, and if you're ambivalent about Windows, and new M1 Macbooks are excellent, but for a solid Windows machine that just works, the Surface Laptop 4 is here for you.
