Saxer Lucke Hike | Gratwanderung | Crest hike | Alpstein | Appenzell | Wandern | Swiss Alps | Staubern | Bollenwees | Fälensee | Switzerland Saxer Lücke is one of the great hikes in the Alpstein range with views into Liechtenstein, Austria''s Tirol, and across the Alpstein range. This trail covered in this vlog starts at the top of Frümsen-Staubern cable car, following signs to Saxer Lücke. It is about 3 km along the ridge to the viewpoint, then you can turn around and get back to the cable car. However you can optionally continue another 1 km down to the Bollenwees mountain restaurant for lunch and also explore the stunning Fälensee which is highly recommended. Overall the trail is well maintained. However some sections are still very rocky with some steep inclines, requiring secure footing and caution.
