Fish Stocking Day! See What Goes Into the Pond

Join me for a unique fish stocking experience and some helpful pond management insight! In this video, I briefly explain why I feed my fish regularly—not just to keep them happy, but to monitor their health and numbers. Then I head to a local feed store where Arkansas Pond Stockers is making a stop with their mobile fish truck. I take you along as I show the setup, the oxygenated tanks, and how they transport and handle fish on the go. I pick up 5 pounds of fathead minnows and 2 grass carp to add to my pond and talk through why these species are beneficial—fathead minnows help establish a forage base, and grass carp are excellent for vegetation control. Once back at the pond, I walk you through the process of acclimating fish to your water the right way to reduce stress and improve survival rates.
