Standoff continues between the US and Iran as uncertainty persists

California University Political Science Professor Louis Desipio has discussed the current state of the US-Iran memorandum of understanding amid ongoing regional tensions. “We are really in a quite similar situation to where we’ve been for the past month,” Mr Desipio told Sky News Australia. “Each side is making assertions to a global audience and backing that up with a willingness to use military force. “The unknown … is what Israel is willing to concede to, and that's been tested very much in the last 48 hours.”
