My beloved 2007 Suzuki V-Strom was stolen one night, but the would-be thieves tried and failed at hotwiring it. A few days later it was discovered streets away from the house. This is the story of fixing the only damage to the recovered bike: the ignition barrel and wiring, and then changing the other locks so it all operates on the new key.
