Heysen Trail, SOBO, Day One - June 2026

Day One of our sobo Heysen Trail walk saw Simone and I walking out of the Parachilna Trail Head down to bush camp near Yulunna Creek. After a relaxing transfer up from Quorn with Paul from the Flinders Ranges Motel we were on the way by about 11 am. We topped up water at Pigeon Bore and then grabbed water for camp at Aroona before enjoying our first night on trail next to Yulunna Creek in a small gorge.
