Rifles Regiment Granted Freedom of the City of Leeds on Yorkshire Day
on Saturday 1st August 2009 (Yorkshire Day) The City of Leeds granted the Rifles Regiment the Freedom of the City. The 5th Battalion represented the Regiment along with cadets and veterans (of which I was one) on a dull but warm day. This is a short video of the troops marching through the City. You don’t see the veterans on this video because we were told (ordered?) to drop out at the half-way point of the march around the city.
