Chassis Swapped 1966 Ford F100 (4.6L V8, 5 Speed Manual, Panther Chassis)

This is a full walkaround of my '66 F100. Over the past 2 years, this F100 has been gone through top to bottom and completely been refreshed and is ready for hundreds or thousands of miles. This project was finished in March '25 and will soon maybe have a new home. Happy to share a full detailed buildsheet and complete build photos along the way. She is now FOR SALE! Complete Custom Panther Chassis Swapped 1966 F100. This F100 features a 4.6L 2v V8 that were stolen from a grandma driven 2003 mercury grand marquis alongside its chassis with only just over 37,500 original miles. The auto transmission was replaced with a TR3650 5 Speed Manual from a 2003 Mustang GT/Cobra alongside pedals from the same era car. This comes alongside a Marty Oaks (Mo’s Speedshop) tune for 93 octane and to accommodate the manual transmission. The F100’s complete interior was retained with all working switches and knobs (wipers, lights, lighter, Bench seat under lighting, AC controls all of which are ran through a 21 circuit harness that runs small things like above). The vintage air AC blows cold, heat, and has the option for defrost. The retrosound bluetooth headunit has 4 kicker speakers. Dakota Digital gauges run through the OBD-II port and all communication and error lights, turn signals, brights, etc can be seen through them. The TMI dash pad, bench seat and matching kick panels and door panels set this interior off and make the drivers cabin very enjoyable. With this swap, one gains great features such as rack and pinion steering, 4 wheel disc brakes, 8.8 rear, ABS, traction control, and more. The turquoise finished patina has been cleared with a Satin clear and any major rust was properly replaced. Such as brand new floor pans. The underside of the body and complete chassis have been appropriately undercoated in black. A ton of mechanical maintenance was done while the body was off the truck because access was at its most. This includes spark plugs, valve cover gaskets, idler pulley, oil pan gasket, oil filter, compressor clutch, thermostat and gasket, rear main seal and more. A brand new set of rotors and pads all the way around helps support the 5 speed transmission that hosts new Sachs clutch and Luk pressure plate. A McLeod hydraulic clutch helps shifting through the gears take the weight off your left foot. 2.5” stainless exhaust with borla Pro XS mufflers let the 4.6 breathe on the gas but quiet and drivable at highway speeds. A complete custom raised wood bed floor covers the hump that these chassis have as well as helps disguise all of the chassis bracing for mounting the F100. The bed has been colored to mimic the turquoise in rhino liner and the (NEW) gas tank fills in the driverside fender tub.
