Hyderabadi Haleem Recipe | Authentic Ramzan Special 🥣 Ingredients Grains & Lentils Masoor Dal – 30g Chana Dal – 30g Urad Dal – 30g Moong Dal – 30g Toor Dal – 30g Basmati Rice – 40g Wheat (broken wheat/daliya) – 200g Meat & Stock Mutton or Beef – 500g Water – 4 glasses Oil/Ghee – 85ml Spices Green Chillies – 10-15 Ginger-Garlic Paste – 3 tbsp Red Chilli Powder – 1 tbsp Salt – to taste Black Pepper Powder – 1 tsp Black Cardamom – 2 Green Cardamom – 4 Bay Leaves – 2 Cinnamon Stick – 1 inch Coriander Powder – 1 tbsp Mint Leaves – handful Fresh Coriander – handful Other Ingredients Onion – 2 large (fried till golden) Curd – ½ cup ⸻ 👩🍳 Method Step 1: Soak Wash and soak all dals, rice, and wheat together for at least 2 hours. Step 2: Cook the Grains Pressure cook the soaked mixture with green chillies and enough water for 5 whistles. Let it cool slightly and blend into a smooth paste. Step 3: Cook the Meat In a pressure cooker, heat oil. Add sliced onions and fry until golden brown. Add: Ginger-garlic paste Red chilli powder Coriander powder Meat Curd Mix well and cook for a few minutes. Now add: Black cardamom Green cardamom Bay leaves Cinnamon stick Salt 4 glasses water Pressure cook until the meat becomes very soft and tender. Step 4: Shred the Meat Remove bones if any and shred the cooked meat completely. Step 5: Combine Add the blended wheat-dal mixture to the cooked meat. Mix thoroughly. Step 6: Dum Cooking Cook on low flame while continuously stirring. Add: Black pepper powder Mint leaves Fresh coriander Cook for 10–15 minutes until thick, creamy, and stretchy. Step 7: Serve Garnish with: Fried onions Mint leaves Coriander leaves Lemon wedges Serve hot with naan or enjoy as is.
