One of the most well-known next-generation aircraft projects remains the NGAD, developed by the Americans. Of course, the United States will remain the main and largest player in the aviation market for many years to come, and if it can't build something, it's most likely impossible given the current level of technological development. A similar attitude seems to be present in the world regarding the latest Chinese product presented at the China Air Show, where the Chinese showed off their full-scale mock-up of an aircraft capable of conducting combat operations on land and beyond the edge of space. In short, the Chinese, in line with what they announced during the show in Zhuhai, are building, and are already at a very advanced stage of building, the first Chinese aircraft capable of conducting combat operations in various environments. Let's start with the fact that the aircraft, known as the Baidi, or "White Emperor," draws its name from Chinese mythology and ancient beliefs, according to which "Baidi" was one of the five heavenly emperors, a deity of the West. The "Baidi" program is part of a larger arms program known as Nantianmen, which envisions building not only a sixth-generation fighter aircraft but also a manned aircraft, the Luanyao, whose name translates to "firebird." I'm not a linguist, so the translation of the Chinese names may not have been accurate, but according to the original Chinese declarations, the Luanyao will be capable of launching other aircraft—the Xuanw and the Baidi. In addition to the three aircraft mentioned above, the Chinese also unveiled a patrol aircraft. Currently, it's difficult to say whether it's a spacecraft, an aircraft, or perhaps a combat aircraft. In fact, both the Baidi and the Hanguang, also known as a patrol aircraft, resemble a fighter jet built for the next Star Wars movie more than an airplane or any other flying machine. According to Chinese declarations, not mine, the machine is to be adapted for operations in low-gravity areas, with the Moon and Mars being the first targets.
