The walk up to the lookout is quite steep, but there are several seats and places to stop and enjoy the views. Once you reach the lookout, you can enjoy the fantastic views of Wineglass Bay. The crystal clear blue waters and white sandy beaches are truly breathtaking. Wineglass Bay From the Wineglass Bay Lookout, you can walk down the 1000 stone steps through the eucalypt forest to Wineglass Bay. Wineglass Bay is considered one of the top ten beaches in the world. It is nestled in the iconic Hazards range and bordered by pink granite peaks. Once on the beach, you can swim in the pristine water or wander along the soft white sand. Wineglass Bay Cruises Alternatively, you can view Wineglass Bay from the sea onboard the Wineglass Bay Cruise, which departs from Coles Bay. Hazards Beach Hazards Beach is a lovely beach that covers the length of the Freycinet Peninsula’s west coast. The circuit hike, including Wineglass Bay Lookout, Wineglass Bay, and Hazards Beach, is 11 kilometres long and will take about 5 hours. Cape Tourville Lighthouse Cape Tourville Lighthouse is a lovely, easy 600-metre circuit walk with amazing views. The walking track is mainly boardwalk and suitable for wheelchairs and prams. Cape Tourville Lighthouse is 11 metres high and has a tall white tower with a stone building attached to the base. The unmanned light station was built in 1971 and sits atop Cape Tourville at an elevation of 126 metres. From the viewing deck behind the lighthouse, you can enjoy fantastic coastal views of Freycinet National Park and a glimpse of Wineglass Bay. Honeymoon Bay Honeymoon Bay is a lovely little bay surrounded by trees and set between two rocky outcrops. It offers beautiful views of the Hazards and is relatively sheltered, making it an excellent spot for swimming, snorkelling and boating. Sleepy Bay Sleepy Bay is an easy, 10-minute walk along a well-formed track through the native bush. This lovely little bay has a small beach area with orange-coloured lichen rocks and beautiful aqua-blue water. There are also some unusual rock formations here. Friendly Beaches Friendly Beaches is located 26 kilometres north of Coles Bay.The Friendly Beaches Reserve is a 140-hectare coastal nature reserve with a long expanse of beautiful sandy beaches. You can walk miles on the gorgeous white sand, swim, or watch the birds. Watch the Sunrise One of the best places to watch the sunrise over the ocean on the East Coast of Tasmania is at Friendly Beaches. Freycinet Marine Farm The Freycinet Marine Farm is located on Coles Bay Road. Here, you can enjoy fresh oysters and mussels harvested from the farm. They also offer a range of cooked oysters, mussels, and other delicious seafood dishes.
