Teardown of a Seagate Scorpion STD2401LW DDS-4 DAT40 tape drive
Pretty interesting seeing inside of this drive. I found the board to be the more interesting part but the mechanical bits are really fancy too. I wonder how hard it was to design such complex mechanisms with the right tolerances to do the job while being reliable. Want to support what I do?
