Off grid kitchen appliances are CHEAPER than you think!

One of the things I found most daunting when I was planning this out was the price of off grid appliances. Put the word "Off Grid" in front of anything and the price tag goes through the roof! As I began digging deeper I realized that Off grid kitchen appliances are CHEAPER than you think! This week I will walk you through my nearly completed kitchen and put a price tag on everything so far. I will also discuss alternatives to what I have, and why I decided to go the way I did. I am a complete novice builder who grew up in sunny California and thought it would be an awesome idea to build my own off grid cabin on raw land in Alaska...what could go wrong? I have never built a thing in my life so why not a house? OH! and I can live in a trailer while I do it....and work full time! Did I mention that I am out of shape, over weight and 60?
