The rosary is primarily known for being an object composed of several beads and a cross at its end. Some wear it as a kind of "lucky charm" or "flaunt" of faith that one would hang from their rearview mirror. Yet this object is above all a prayer aid! Yes, the rosary is a prayer that composes an even greater prayer: the rosary. The Rosary and the rosary are meditative prayers, since their purpose is to meditate on the mysteries of Christ's life, in connection with the Blessed Virgin Mary. In this video, we discuss the origin of the rosary, its importance, and also how to go about praying it. As the famous phrase "To Jesus through Mary" says, don't hesitate to pray the rosary, or even the rosary, because it is a way of addressing God through the intercession of His Mother, to whom we mean so much. Moreover, the fruits of the rosary are numerous and help us greatly in our spiritual and daily lives! Enjoy! Explanatory note: Jesus Christ is the only mediator between God and humanity, as through his death, he reconciles humankind with God. He is therefore the only mediator by nature, but the saints, like the Most Holy Virgin Mary, who has a very special place in heaven, are mediators in the unique mediation of Christ (for they are clothed in His glory). This desire to call upon men as delegated mediators is found notably in Matthew 18:18: "Truly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven" (see also: Matthew 16:19; John 20:22-23; 2 Corinthians 5:18, etc.). Jesus therefore entrusted a subordinate mediation to the apostles, through their ministry. (Not in salvation, but in knowledge). God also used the prophets in the Old Testament as mediators to reveal Himself to the Hebrew people. Let us also note that Christians who evangelize are also mediators in a sense since they allow God to be made known to those who are unaware of his existence, they therefore allow the link between God and men in knowledge (and not in the economy of salvation).
