On the verge of drowning in the filth of the contaminated, unsanitary, and foul-smelling water that millions of residents receive in the Guadalajara metropolitan area, the Movimiento Ciudadano (MC) governor of Jalisco, Jesús Pablo Lemus Navarro, is attempting to evade responsibility for his actions and those of the party that brought him to power and whose membership he repeatedly disavows. He refuses to acknowledge that the responsibility for operating the Intermunicipal System of Potable Water and Sewerage of the Guadalajara Metropolitan Area (SIAPA), with all its calamities, errors, and deficiencies, has been in the hands of the MC administrations of Enrique Alfaro Ramírez, from 2018 to 2024, and of his own government since December 6, 2024.
