We Opened A Workshop! Built a Hilux Camper & Upgraded an HJ47 With Parabolic Leafsprings ROAM

With our big botswana trip looming, the pressure was on to get all the vehicles ready in time! But wait there is more, we also open our very own ROAM Workshop in the heart of Brackenfell in the Western Cape. Where I am partnering up with Nicky Van Rooyen, and his son Andrew, who will be the mechanics at the shop. You have watched them work on our ROAM vehicles for years and now they will be able to work on your vehicles too! Its an exciting endeavour, but what a great opportunity to expand ROAM Overlanding in a whole new direction! The perfect time to make some ground shattering changes to the ROAM Hilux, which for the past 3 years has had a ‪@BushtechCanopiesAccessories‬ Tray & Canopy on it. But the process of evolution required constant change, and today marks that day, off with the tray and on with the latest development from Bushtech, their Bush Cabin. Which is need of some proper field testing, and this trip is the perfect platform. But it means a from the ground up rebuild, including the storage system, Redarc 12v System (which I am upgrading to their latest Alpha setup) and fridge. This is going to be fun... We also need to get the Toyota Landcruiser 47 Series, 2H 4.0L Straight Six Diesel, equipped with a Terrain Tamer Parabolic Suspension. Somewhere inbetween this all, we need to make time to get to Best Drive and equip the 100 Series Cruiser, and the 47 Series with brand new sets of General Tire Grabber X3 mud tires in preperation for our journey ahead.
