There were some ups and downs, and the mountains offered the kind of bushwhacking and spectacular views you only get from a low mountain. I parked my car at Lake Heiso Parking Lot and started out by walking counterclockwise from Mt. Hitotsuyama. My goal was Mt. Takeyama. The walk was quite long, about 12 kilometers.
