It shows clear signs of significant effort, such as raising the ride height by 28mm using dedicated chassis parts, fitting 17-inch wheels with automatic tires, offering the X-Pro trim equipped with DBC and X-TREK features, and securing rear passenger comfort—a common weakness of pickups. However, sales are not meeting Kia's expectations. In the domestic market, it lags far behind the KGM Musso, which boasts high brand recognition and a low price, and in the export market of Australia, it is struggling against competitors like the Ford Ranger and Toyota Hilux. Once you actually drive the Tasman, it is excellent in terms of ride comfort, quietness, interior design, and convenience features, even without the caveat that it is "for a first pickup."
