Cassie is living outside with cervical cancer, and when her husband is arrested she must decide on leaving her animals to get shelter or staying with them and being alone in the woods. The answer to ending homelessness is focusing on Housing First. By doing so we meet the basic human need of shelter and are then able to focus services that heal the body, mind, and spirit for self-sufficiency.
