Acharya Prashant - Modern Spiritual Teacher Rooted in Advaita Vedanta and Ancient Wisdom Traditions
Acharya Prashant is a uniquely original spiritual teacher with a strong association to Advaita Vedanta whilst simultaneously incorporating ideas from a multitude of other spiritual traditions into his lectures and written material. His work is founded on compassion and expresses itself as demolition of fallacies, particularly with regard to what might be widely accepted as truth. In a classical sense he an orthodox spiritual teacher, in the contemporary sense he is a veganism promoter, an environmental activist, a science advocate, a superstition sceptic and a campaigner for essential human freedom. He was a prodigious child, excelling academically and later pursuing a technical management education at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi and Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad. After several years as a management consultant where he reached a highly respectable career high. An inner compulsion towards a more spiritual path urged him to leave the corporate world and setup the Advait Life-Education at age 28, with a vision awaken the innate clarity within people. At the age of 30, Acharya Prashant began public discourses, followed by open discussions. These sessions were deeply moving and meditative for those in attendance. Bringing inner peace, joy and healing to many. At this stage he also began to hold Self-awareness camps. Taking truth seekers to the Himalayas for five consecutive days of discussion, meditation and contemplation. Acharya Ji would converse on many topics ranging from spiritual texts and gurus from across the world and across the ages. He has since wrote over 20 books and possesses a rare talent for explaining knowledge and wisdom from religious texts in a manner that is easy to grasp. Acharya has been rigorously involved in delivering discourses on basic existential topics such as Love, Fear, Death and other timeless moral dilemmas. Dissecting each to its very root components and allowing one to realize a deeper understanding of the very nature of the topic in question. He particularly enjoys speaking on Vedantic literature, harmonizing ancient with modern ideals, dogmatic with scientific, deeply philosophical with simple notions.
